Job title: Seasonal Ecologist

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000

6 month contract, with the potential to turn permanent

I am keen to speak with Graduate/Seasonal Ecologists, based in the West Midlands, who are on the lookout for a new opportunity and available for the coming survey season. The successful candidate will assist with habitat and protected species surveys, whilst working at a multi-disciplinary consultancy, with a great reputation and varied projects.

Requirements:

Relevant degree e.g. Ecology, Environmental Studies, Conservations etc

*

An understanding of UK habitats and survey methodologies

*

Willingness to travel within UK Midlands

*

Good communication skills

*

Flexible and proactive approach to work

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

*

Full UK driving license

Responsibilities

*

Conducting protected species surveys

*

Supporting the preparation of Biodiversity Net Gain assessments and report

*

Inputting and managing ecological data

*

Liasing with project managers, client and other member of the team

*

Ensuring compliance with UK legislation and best practice
