What you'll be doing;
  • Operate forklift truck for loading/unloading palletised waste (training provided)
  • Learn and maintain compliance with hazardous waste storage requirements
  • Support and participate in local safety initiatives
  • Master internal systems and procedures
  • Perform waste bulking and repacking operations including oils, aerosols, batteries, and hazardous materials
  • Conduct daily and weekly facility inspections
  • Maintain facility cleanliness through housekeeping duties (sweeping, tidying, jet washing)
  • Ensure operations comply with legislation, site license, and company procedures

What we're looking for;
  • Proficient in IT, particularly Excel spreadsheets
  • Minimum GCSE qualifications in English and maths
  • A-levels preferred
  • Forklift experience beneficial but not mandatory
  • Strong commitment to health and safety principles
  • Ability to comprehend work instructions and risk assessments
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors with strong work ethic
