Civil Engineer

MAIN OBJECTIVES

To manage and co-ordinate the production of infrastructure / civil engineering drawn information within the office undertaking checking of drawings by others and issued to program agreed with Design Engineer.
To support the Design Engineers in providing, collating, distributing and checking of drawn & design information and to ensure drawings and specifications are prepared to current codes of practice and safety standards.
To undertake the design and detailing of sewer systems for all sectors and to liaise with drainage authorities to obtain S104 approvals and discharging planning conditions to satisfy current SUDS requirements.
To carry out computer modelling of drainage networks and develop designs to support planning applications through to detailed construction phase drawings
To undertake Flood Risk Assessment's and Flood Consequence Assessments
To undertake the design and detailing of residential roads to S278 and S38 Adoption standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITES

To produce design calculations from drainage modelling
To produce detailed drawings in AutoCAD from design model outputs all to prescribed deadlines.
Undertake administration duties to suit your role and responsibilities.
To support the other CAD technicians in their role and identify training as necessary to meet the requirements of their role.
To produce factual and interpretative reports based on site visits, all to prescribed deadlines.
To attend design/progress meetings as required, both in-house and on site with clients and other design consultants.
To visit site, carrying out dimensional surveys, and supervise geotechnical trial hole surveys and soakaway tests.
To maintain the high quality image of the business while on site and promote the growth of the company wherever
possible.
