Job Overview
We are looking for a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning within primary classrooms in Rotherham. In this role, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils across the curriculum, deliver targeted interventions, and occasionally lead whole-class lessons when required.

This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, nurturing, and passionate about helping primary-aged children succeed both academically and socially.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging lessons alongside the class teacher.

  • Lead small group sessions and occasionally whole-class lessons when required.

  • Provide targeted support to pupils to help them progress academically and build confidence.

  • Adapt learning materials and activities to meet the needs of all learners.

  • Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' emotional and social development.

  • Monitor and report on pupils' progress to support effective teaching and learning.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to create a positive learning environment.

  • Follow all safeguarding policies to ensure the safety and well-being of pupils.
