Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Northwest London

Salary: £50-£55k

O'Neill & Brennan are seeking an experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor on an exciting new build retirement village project in Northwest London. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong commercial acumen and a background in large-scale construction projects to further their career in a rewarding and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the commercial aspects of the project life-cycle, from procurement to final account.
Preparation of cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation.
Conduct valuations, cost reporting, and budget control.
Manage subcontractor packages, including procurement, payment, and performance monitoring.
Support senior commercial staff in managing risk, contract negotiation, and value engineering.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and contractual obligations.
Contribute to the preparation and presentation of monthly project reports.
Liaise effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements:

Minimum 2-3 years' experience working as a Quantity Surveyor with a Tier 1 Main Contractor.
Experience working on residential or retirement living projects is advantageous.
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g. JCT, NEC).
Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
