RSR Public Safety are currently recruiting on behalf of our policing client for multiple Crime Quality Assurance Assessor's to be based across Leicestershire.

These are full time, temporary roles initially until November 2023 and offers a rate of pay of £11.32 per hour

Main Duties:

* Liaise with and provide a professional service to colleagues across the force, external agencies, other forces and members of the public

* Provide an appropriate level of guidance and advice in the effective application of the Home Office County Rules (HOCR) and National Crime Recording Standards (NCRS)

* Undertake assessment of recrods created by HOCR/NCRS to check accuracy and quality

* Promote positive relationships and confidence with colleagues by delivering a professional service and by initiating the appropriate course of action

* Where issues in relation to crime recordings/HOCR/NCRS are identified ensure these are referred to the Investigation Management Unit Manager

* Deal with defined DDM tasks in respect of crime recording, HOCR and NCRS

* Comply with the relevent risk assessments for your job role and report accidents, incidents and near misses

Essential Requirements:

* Qualified to GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language or demonstrate experience requiring the use of English Language to that standard

* Demonstrate by example where it has been necessary to review information and initiate appropriate action, adopting and proactive approach to problem solving

* Demonstrate by example a situation where your decsision making has been challenged and how this was resolved

* Experience in assisting in the production of accurate reports or documents with attention to detail

* Knowledge of Home Office Counting Rules and National Crime Recording Standards for the recording of Crime

* Knowledge of the National Standards for Incident Recording

* Knowledge of Police IT Systems, including Command and Control, and crime recroding system, Genie, PNC

The role will be subject to vetting and the successful individual will be required to obtain and maintain these clearances
