Control Systems Engineer
Location: Based at the Tunbridge Wells office, with travel to project sites as required

Control Systems Engineer Role Overview:
The Control Systems Engineer operates within the project delivery team, supporting the technical execution of building automation and control system projects. While project and contract management responsibilities rest with the Project Engineer or Project Manager, the Control Engineer plays a central role in system design, documentation, and commissioning.

Control Systems Engineer Key Responsibilities:

Technical Design and Documentation

Collaborate with the project team to support the design and implementation of control system elements such as:
Control panel schematics
Valve selection schedules
Descriptions of operation
DDC strategies and graphical interface details
Prepare supporting project documentation including RFIs, technical submissions, and progress/commissioning reports.
Apply internal technical standards consistently across all design and commissioning tasks.
Maintain clear and current technical documentation and contribute to producing comprehensive Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals. System Commissioning
Conduct on-site commissioning tasks, including:
Field wiring verification and motor rotation checks
Adjustment of panel components (fuse/MCB ratings, overloads)
Functional testing of control circuits and validation of DDC performance
Attend coordination meetings as required to support commissioning and project scheduling.
Identify, record, and report any outstanding issues that may impact project delivery or system performance.
Obtain proper authorisation from the Project Engineer or Manager before undertaking any additional or varied work.
General Duties
Maintain accurate records and manage stock control for materials and equipment, ensuring safe and responsible use.
Demonstrate competency in relevant technical disciplines and general IT tools.
Engage in company-provided training and demonstrate a willingness to develop new skills.
Ensure all project files and system records are maintained in accordance with company procedures.
Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, colleagues, and suppliers, both verbally and in writing.
Manage personal workload efficiently to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
Work within the company's defined hierarchy, accepting reasonable direction and delegating appropriately where applicable.
Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the company handbook.
