Room Leader - Up to £34,000

This nursery has been thoughtfully designed, with separate rooms that run with structure, a large outdoor garden used daily, and enough space to plan meaningful activities without feeling rushed. As a Room Leader, you’ll take responsibility for your room, supporting both children and staff while maintaining consistent standards across care, learning, and organisation.

Before you apply

• You must hold a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
• You must have recent experience working in a nursery setting
• You should be confident leading a room and managing a group of children

Key Job Details

• Salary: Up to £31,000 per year
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Contract: Full-time, permanent
• Setting: Private day nursery (0–5 years)

What you’ll need

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in a nursery or early years setting
• Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements
• Confidence leading a room and supporting other practitioners

What you’ll do

• Lead the day-to-day running of your assigned room
• Plan and deliver activities in line with EYFS
• Build consistent routines that support development and behaviour
• Record observations and contribute to individual learning plans
• Maintain safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene standards
• Work with colleagues to ensure smooth transitions and consistent practice
