The Opportunity
Amentum is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20-year arrangement to deliver ~£7bn of major projects. We are looking to recruit high value expertise from across regulated and comparable sectors to work in a collaborative environment. PPP is delivering major projects, site wide improvements and provision of supporting services.
The Project
The SIXEP Continuity Plant (SCP), being delivered by the Programme and Project Partners (PPP) at Sellafield, will ensure the site's existing Site Ion Exchange Effluent Plant (SIXEP) facility can continue its vital work for decades to come.
The newbuild SCP facility will play a vital part in Sellafield's purpose to create a clean and safe environment for future generations. Once operational SCP will ensure the nuclear site will have continued availability to treat and make safe the effluent created by risk reduction activities.
The Role
Due to continuing work SCP are now looking to recruit an EC&I PDMS Designer to join the team in Birchwood.
As an EC&I PDMS Designer you will be responsible for:
* Execute CE&I design and Draughting activities (Detailed Design & Construction Support)
* Developing and integrating design with the Aveva E&I software packages and PDMS, including noding and routing.
* Development, for their allocated Area, CE&I installation designs using PDMS including equipment layout, cable containment design and development.
* Following established procedures for design development and control.
* Liaise with other designers across the project to ensure consistency and share learning..
As an EC&I PDMS Designer you will already:
*
An experienced PDMS user, particularly in CE&I aspects including the production of automated drawings from the 3D model.
*
Demonstrable experience of working within a regulated industry.
* Experience in design engineering in relation to cabling infrastructure and other general CE&I deliverables.
* Proficient with PDMS, Navisworks Manage and AVEVA E&I.
