An entry-level full-time position based in the field working directly with the Lighting Project Manager on commercial building lighting retrofit projects. Responsible for providing the physical labor necessary to support the Project Manager on lighting retrofit projects. Work is typically performed inside commercial buildings, at outdoor parking lots and in parking garages. Person filling this role should be energetic, self-motivating and physically capable of being on their feet for long periods of time, loading, unloading and disassembling commercial lighting fixtures. The candidate should also be adept at using hand tools have basic computer user skills such as using email, Microsoft WORD and EXCEL. The right candidate may be training on programming and auditing the lighting systems. Any and all tools will be provided by the company. Disassembling old lighting fixtures using basic hand tools
Loading and unloading lighting fixtures into and from a box truck
Assisting Sales person and Project Manager with Lighting Audits
Program Lighting Control Panels using proprietary software
Driving a box truck to the office, project sites and reclamation centers
Providing work status updates to the Project Manager
Making deliveries for other departments
Assisting the Operations Department with technical assistance to the field as requested
- Assisting the Office Manager with tasks around the office and deliveries as needed
High School diploma or equivalent
Possession of a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record
Practical experience with hand and power tools
Basic knowledge of wiring and electricity a plus
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office applications such as WORD and EXCEL
Construction site experience a plus, but not required
Ability to move or lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Basic computer user skills and hands-on experience with Microsoft Office WORD and EXCEL
Ability to work in a warehouse environment and perform manual labor and general job site labor.
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying climates.
Ability to work from ladders and carry tools and ladders up and down stairs.
Ability to work independently or as a team member.
