Job Title: CNC Miller / Programmer (Heidenhain)

Salary: £16-£18 per hour (depending on experience)

Overview

We are looking to recruit a skilled CNC Miller / Programmer to join a growing team in Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company within the general engineering sector. The ideal candidate will have strong experience programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines and be confident working independently.

Key Responsibilities

* Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines (Heidenhain controls)

* Produce high-quality components in line with technical drawings

* Edit and optimise programs to improve efficiency and accuracy

* Monitor machining processes to ensure consistency and quality

* Carry out troubleshooting and problem-solving where required

* Maintain a safe and organised working environment

Requirements

* Proven experience as a CNC Miller / Programmer

* Strong knowledge of Heidenhain controls

* Ability to programme from scratch at the machine

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

* Confident working independently with minimal supervision

* High attention to detail and quality standards

Desirable (Not Essential)

* Experience with offline programming software

* Experience working with a variety of engineering materials

Materials

* Working with a range of materials depending on project requirements (including steels and specialist alloys)

Working Hours

* Full-time hours (days/hours to be confirmed during interview)
