Are you a compassionate and dedicated educator with a passion for making a real difference in a young person's life?

Prospero Teaching are seeking a nurturing and positive Tutor to work 1:1 with a young person in Year 10 who is currently working at a Year 7 level. The student has Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and may experience emotional dysregulation at times. Your role will be to provide consistent, supportive, and engaging tuition in English, Maths, and some Science, helping them build confidence and celebrate their progress.

As a Tutor, you will:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging sessions that meet the needs of students.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
Record student progress and report on this weekly.
Be understanding, empathetic and patient.
Record attendance.
Be resillient, calm and engaging, with an empathetic, positive and caring approach.About you:

Experience working with young people with SEMH or additional needs
A calm, patient, and encouraging approach
Strong subject knowledge in English and Maths (Science a bonus)
Ability to build trust and rapport with learners
A commitment to celebrating small wins and fostering a love of learning

Hours - Varied- A number of roles are available.

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL

Experience of working with learners with SEN/SEMH needs

To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

Hold right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
