Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a committed and nurturing 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in the BL2 area of Bolton. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible and running until the end of the academic year.

The role involves providing dedicated support to a pupil with additional educational needs, helping them to access learning and feel confident within the classroom environment. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference to a child's day-to-day school experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver tailored 1:1 support to meet the pupil's individual needs

Assist with classroom activities and adapt learning where required

Support the child's social, emotional, and academic development

Encourage engagement, independence, and confidence

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have previous experience working with children with special educational needs

Be patient, empathetic, and consistent in their approach

Have a good understanding of strategies to support additional needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, or speech and language)

Be proactive and able to adapt to the needs of the pupil

Work effectively as part of a team
