Are you an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting new opportunity to build and develop your skills?
We are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work in the Camborne area. When schools return, we are expecting there to be an increase of students who require extra support within the classroom on either a 1:1 basis or in small groups. We are specifically recruiting for teaching assistants for this role as you will need to be creative and able to make learning as active and enjoyable as possible for the students. The transition from working at home to being back in school have been difficult for students previously so we require candidates who can make learning interesting. This will involve helping the class teacher come up with indoor and outdoor activities that make learning more engaging for the students.
You may also be required to help with PE, games, arts and crafts to help students with their social skills and team work to ensure that they are communicating effectively with the other students. It is important that you display good communication skills to the students by communicating well with them, the class teacher, and the other teaching assistants within the class. You will be expected to be a good role model and show good examples of teamwork. Organisational and time management skills are very important in this role as the class teacher will rely on your help with the smooth running of the school day.
You will be expected to help with the tidying up of the classroom at the end of the day, ensuring that it is left clean and tidy, the way it was found in the morning. You will also be required to help with drop off and pick ups to ensure they run smoothly, with different classes having different drop off times these needs to be done efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience working as a Teaching Assistant and have excellent behaviour management skills. You will also need to be aware of Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behaviour, Teaching and Learning and Equal Opportunities policies. You will also need a Child Workforce DBS which can be completed during the recruitment process.
We can offer you an enthusiastic team who will help you through your application process and continuous opportunities to build your career. Free safeguarding and prevention training and additional CPD training at a discounted rate. We can offer flexible working patterns to candidates, along with an online diary to help keep your schedule organised and to keep us updated on your availability.
