Our client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Duty Regulation 24 & Viability Assessor (Fostering) Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Undertake initial viability and connected persons assessments for children
  • Complete Regulation 24 assessments to support timely placement decisions
  • Provide clear analysis and recommendations regarding suitability of carers
  • Work at pace to meet statutory timescales and children’s immediate needs
  • Liaise with Social Workers, fostering teams, and partner agencies
  • Prepare high-quality reports for panels and decision-making forums
  • Identify safeguarding risks and strengths within family and connected networks
  • Support carers through the temporary approval and assessment process
  • Maintain accurate, timely case records and statutory documentation
  • Ensure compliance with fostering regulations, guidance, and local procedures

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
