Job Title: Site Manager - New Build Housing (Temporary)

Rate: £24 - £25 per hour

Overview:

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a new build residential housing scheme in Leeds on a freelance basis. This is a key role on-site, responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the project, from groundworks through to final handover.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on and proactive manager with a strong background in housebuilding and a commitment to quality, health & safety, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities

* Manage subcontractors and ensure works are completed safely and to a high standard

* Monitor progress against the programme and report to senior management

* Conduct regular site inspections, toolbox talks, and enforce site health & safety standards

* Maintain site records and ensure compliance with NHBC/building regulations

* Liaise with suppliers, local authorities, and internal teams

Requirements:

* CSCS (ideally Black)

* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) - essential

* First Aid at Work - essential

* Proven experience managing new build housing sites

* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

* Able to start immediately or at short notice
