Cover Supervisor - Sunderland Secondary School

Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated and confident Cover Supervisor to join a friendly and supportive secondary school team in Sunderland. This role is perfect for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone with experience working with young people.

What you'll be doing:

Delivering pre prepared lessons to classes in the absence of the regular teacher
Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Supporting students with their learning and ensuring work is completed
Providing feedback to teaching staff at the end of the lesson
No formal teaching qualification is required, just strong communication skills, confidence in leading a classroom, and the ability to build rapport with students.

You need:

Experience working with young people (schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work, etc.)
Strong classroom presence and good behaviour management
Positive, proactive attitude
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Commitment to supporting students' learning and wellbeing
