About the Role

Power & Infrastructure Resourcing Ltd is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll & Finance Assistant to join our Doncaster-based team on a maternity cover contract, starting as soon as possible.

You'll play a key role in supporting our finance department, ensuring the accurate processing of payrolls, invoices, and financial administration for our growing rail and infrastructure workforce.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist with the preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payrolls

* Maintain accurate employee and contractor records, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations

* Process invoices, purchase orders, and expenses

* Reconcile accounts and support with month-end reporting

* Provide payroll and finance-related support to both internal teams and external workers

* Assist the Finance Manager with ad-hoc administrative and reporting tasks

About You

* Previous experience in a payroll or finance assistant position

* Knowledge of payroll legislation and accounting principles

* Strong numerical and organisational skills with attention to detail

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/payroll systems

* Excellent communication skills and ability to work to deadlines Team player with a positive and professional attitude
