KS1 Graduate Teaching AssistantDo you want KS1 classroom experience before starting teacher training?Could you deliver targeted intervention and guidance to help Year 1 and Year 2 pupils make rapid progress?*** KS1 Graduate Teaching Assistant*** Immediate start until July 2026*** £80 - £100 per day*** ‘Outstanding’ 3-form entry primary school, Ward of Hall Green*** Intervention support and guidance across Key Stage 1The Role:You’ll work across KS1 to deliver short, purposeful interventions in phonics, early writing and number. You’ll guide small groups, provide 1:1 support, set up activities, and keep concise notes on progress so next steps are clear. You’ll reinforce routines, promote positive behaviour, and help create a calm, engaging classroom.The Candidate:You’re a graduate who communicates clearly, follows guidance well, and builds trust with young children. You’re organised, patient, and keen to develop practical classroom skills ahead of initial teacher training.Requirements
• Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children – Strong interest in KS1 and pupil progress.
• Experience working with children – Any relevant experience (tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.The School:This ‘Outstanding’ 3-form entry primary in the Ward of Hall Green has a warm, inclusive ethos and well-established KS1 practice.
