Job Title: Tribunal and Complaints Officer (Interim)

Location: Liverpool, Merseyside On-site requirement: 1 day per week

Contract: 3-month contract (with possibility of extension)

About the Role

Reducing the number of complaints and tribunals is a key corporate priority. We are seeking an experienced Tribunal and Complaints Officer to provide specialist support within the SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) service. This interim role is focused on clearing the backlog of complaints and tribunal cases, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

This is a short-term assignment to provide additional capacity and is not anticipated to become a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and resolve SEND complaints and tribunal cases efficiently.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on SEND tribunal processes.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure compliance and best practice.
  • Contribute to reducing the backlog of cases within agreed timescales.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven track record in handling SEND complaints and tribunal processes.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex cases.
