We are delighted to be partnering with an exciting Top 20 Firm, looking to recruit an Accounts Manager/Partner Designate to join their South West London office. Their collective mission is to provide locally forged, trusted business advice to SME’s, through forward thinking, close-knit relationships.

Responsibilities:

As an Accounts Manager/Partner Designate, you’ll oversee and grow a valued portfolio of SME clients, delivering high-quality advisory and accounting services while progressing toward a partner role. The ideal candidate is client-focused, commercially astute, and ready to lead by example. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and expand a personal portfolio of clients—ensuring all deliverables meet deadlines with excellence and compliance.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, directors, and internal teams.
  • Review team work to ensure full compliance with ethical, legal, and statutory standards.
  • Provide industry-leading insights and proactive advice to elevate client satisfaction and drive growth.
  • Implement best practices and technologies to enhance efficiency and profitability.
  • Contribute to strategic business and operational planning, aligning with firm goals.
  • Prepare specialist client work with expert advice, ensuring maximum value and adherence.
  • Participate in succession planning, preparing to assume a partner role and manage a high-value portfolio.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified (ACCA/ACA) with a minimum of 3?years’ post-qualification experience in a general practice mid-tier accountancy firm.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading, managing, and growing client relationships.
  • Tech-savvy, comfortable with adopting and utilising modern accounting/advisory technologies.
  • Commercially minded, highly analytical, and strategically oriented.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with professional confidence.
  • High organisational discipline, attention to detail, and ethical decision-making.
