Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Maintenance Operative with a C1 Licence to join Bradford Council on an initial 3 month temporary contract.

We're looking for a dedicated Bin Maintenance Operative to join our environmental services team. This is a practical, hands-on role that combines street bin repairs, maintenance and servicing, with driving responsibilities requiring a 7.5 tonne (C1) licence.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect, clean, repair, and replace public litter bins across the borough

*

Safely operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle to transport bins and materials to and from depots

*

Conduct routine maintenance checks and report defects

*

Work outdoors in all weather conditions

*

Ensure all tasks are completed in line with health and safety standards

Requirements:

*

Full UK driving licence with C1 entitlement (7.5 tonne)

*

Good practical/DIY skills and a proactive, can-do attitude

*

Experience in a similar maintenance or waste services role is desirable

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a wider street scene team

Hours - 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday
