Job Title: Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to support a variety of residential construction projects. This is a dual-role position offering involvement across all stages of project delivery—from cost estimation to ongoing financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects ranging from £500k to £2.5M.

*

Collaborate with project teams to gather required technical and logistical information.

*

Prepare and submit tenders and proposals in a timely and efficient manner.

*

Monitor budgets, maintain cost control, and oversee project financial performance.

*

Conduct cost analyses, site surveys, and regular financial evaluations.

*

Obtain and negotiate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.

*

Ensure all work aligns with current industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

*

3-5 years of experience as an Estimator and/or Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector.

*

Must have direct experience with residential renovation and extension projects.

*

Proven experience using estimating software (e.g., Causeway, ConQuest, Buildertrend, or similar).

*

Strong numerical and analytical skills.

*

Effective communication and negotiation skills.

*

Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel).

*

Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and applicable regulations.

Additional Information:

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Work location: In-person
