Job Title: HGV Technician

Location: Rotherham
Salary: £26 per hour
Contract Duration: 2.0 months
Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 10:00 - 18:00
Friday: 10:30 - 18:00Candidate Responsibilities

As an HGV Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:

Preparing, presenting, and accompanying HGV vehicles for annual MOT inspections
Conducting periodic safety inspections on all HGVs following DVSA inspection manual standards
Diagnosing faults on complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
Performing welding, fabrication, and body repairs as required
Attending to broken down or accident-damaged vehicles, carrying out both temporary and permanent repairs
Preparing vehicles for decommissioning and re-commissioning as necessaryRequired Skills and Qualifications

City & Guilds / IMI Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, Motor Vehicle Engineering, or equivalent
Full UK Driving Licence with Category C, or willingness to obtain within the first year
Proven experience working as an HGV Mechanic with strong diagnostic skills
