General Cover Teacher (Secondary) – Leeds

We’re now looking for adaptable and confident teachers to join our team as General Cover Teachers, supporting a variety of schools and classrooms.

As a General Cover Teacher, you will:

• Deliver pre-set lessons across a range of secondary subjects
• Maintain an orderly, inclusive classroom environment
• Support students in completing the work provided by their usual teacher
• Uphold school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour expectations
• Collect and return work, providing feedback where required

This role is ideal for qualified teachers who enjoy variety, can adapt quickly to different subjects and year groups, and who thrive on making a positive impact in schools.

To be successful in this role, you should:

• Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Have experience teaching or covering lessons in secondary schools
• Be confident in managing classroom behaviour effectively
• Communicate clearly with both students and colleagues
• Be flexible, proactive, and able to adapt quickly to new environments
