Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Staffordshire based client to recruit for a Production Planning Manager.

Main Purpose of role:

You will be tasked with leading a planning team and playing a major part in shaping the production planning strategy, ensuring that the planning processes is improved.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule, ensuring it is aligned with demand forecasts and business objectives.
Conduct material planning processes to ensure production schedules are realistic and achievable.
Lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
Drive effective use of ERP systems.
Provide regular reporting and analysis on planning KPIs, production performance.

Skills and Experience

Proven experience in a Production Planning or Demand planning environment from within a manufacturing environment
Vast knowledge of Production planning techniques and methodologies
Previous experience using an MRP system
Previous experience of managing a team, including coaching and career development
Highly organised
