About the Role

We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join a growing and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a varied client portfolio, providing accurate and timely payroll services while ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.

You'll be part of a collaborative environment where attention to detail, client care, and professionalism are valued.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients

Collecting, verifying, and inputting pay data

Calculating salaries, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and statutory payments

Ensuring accurate PAYE, NI, pension, and statutory deductions

Processing BACS payments and distributing payslips/reports

Managing starters, leavers, and employee changes

Preparing and submitting RTI returns and other statutory filings

Generating payroll journals and reports for clients

Responding to client payroll queries

Liaising with pension providers and managing auto-enrolment

Supporting year-end processes including P60s and P11Ds

About You

Previous payroll administration experience (ideally in a bureau or accountancy setting)

Proficient in payroll software (BrightPay, Xero, Sage preferred)

Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements

Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and numerical skills

Strong organisational and time-management ability

Effective communicator with a client-focused approach

Able to work independently and within a team

Experience with pensions and auto-enrolment processes
