Children’s Team Manager- Duty Team

Our client, Wigan council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Connected Carers Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

• Provide leadership to the team, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
• Oversee the caseload of the team, ensuring all cases are managed appropriately and in line with statutory requirements.
• Conduct regular supervision sessions, provide feedback, and support the professional development of team members.
• Ensure that the team's work meets required standards, including carrying out quality assurance checks and reviewing case files.
• Provide guidance and support to the team in making decisions about referrals, assessments, and interventions.
• Manage urgent situations and contacts, ensuring prompt responses and appropriate interventions.

Requirements of this role:

• Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
• Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
