Humanities Teacher (History Specialist) – Permanent Role

Reed Education are working closely with a well-established secondary school in Wellingborough who are seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher with a strong History specialism. This is a permanent, full-time position starting in September, with the option of an earlier start for an exceptional candidate.

The Role

As a Humanities Teacher, you will:

• Teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Contribute to the wider Humanities curriculum (Geography/RE as required)
• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons
• Support pupil progress through effective assessment and feedback
• Play an active role in the school community and departmental development

Requirements

The school is looking for someone who has:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge and a clear passion for History
• Experience teaching History within a secondary school setting
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A proactive, professional and collaborative approach
