I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a well-established and highly respected manufacturing business, who are looking to strengthen their planning function with the addition of a Production Scheduler / Production Planner.

The successful Production Scheduler / Production Planner will take ownership of production planning activities, working closely with key departments to ensure schedules are aligned with operational capacity and business priorities.
This Production Scheduler / Production Planner position offers genuine scope to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and drive operational efficiency across the manufacturing process.

As a Production Scheduler / Production Planner, you will be responsible for:

Developing and maintaining accurate production schedules to meet customer demand
Coordinating with manufacturing, procurement, quality, and engineering teams
Monitoring production progress and adjusting schedules to ensure on-time delivery
Ensuring efficient utilisation of labour, materials, and equipment
Identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts or resource constraints
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the planning function
Using ERP systems to manage and track production activity
To be successful in this Production Scheduler / Production Planner role, you will need:

Proven experience in a production planning or scheduling role within manufacturing
Strong working knowledge of ERP systems
Experience using AMADA software with a clear understanding of nesting processes (essential)
The ability to coordinate effectively across multiple departments
Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
Experience monitoring and adjusting production schedules in line with business needs
Desirable experience for the Production Scheduler / Production Planner includes:

Understanding of quality control standards and their integration into production scheduling
Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Experience analysing production data to identify bottlenecks and inefficienciesIn return, the Production Scheduler / Production Planner will benefit from:
