Company Overview
Our client are a highly established engineering business producing complex, high-tolerance components for various sectors.
Role Purpose
To program, set, and operate CNC turning machines equipped with Fanuc controls, producing components to close tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
• Program Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes (3- and 4-axis) from technical drawings
• Set tooling and fixtures, conduct first-offs, and optimize cycle times
• Operate machines independently, ensuring quality and consistency
• Perform in-process checks and adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy • Interpret engineering drawings
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues
Requirements
• Proven experience as a CNC Turner Programmer Setter Operator
• Proficiency in Fanuc controls (G-code programming and editing)
• Skilled in producing tight-tolerance components with complex geometries
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and 3D models
• Familiarity with inspection tools and quality assurance procedures • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and proactive attitude
• Apprenticeship or vocational qualifications (or equiv) in CNC Machining or time served machinist What's on Offer
