New Chapter Tuition is seeking experienced and compassionate SEN Tutors to provide 1:1 personalised tuition to children and young people across Croydon.

This role is ideal for teachers, SEN tutors, teaching assistants, HLTAs, and education professionals with proven experience supporting learners with Autism (ASC) and additional needs such as ADHD, SEMH, and Dyslexia.

You will deliver structured, nurture-based, and autism-friendly support, helping students build confidence, improve engagement, and achieve meaningful academic and personal progress.

As an SEN Tutor, you will:

• Deliver 1:1 tuition tailored to learners with Autism (ASC)
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet sensory, communication, and behavioural needs
• Support students with additional needs (ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia)
• Plan personalised learning programmes aligned with EHCPs
• Use structured approaches (e.g. visual supports, routine-based learning)
• Build positive, trusting relationships to support engagement
• Track progress and complete session reports
• Liaise with parents, schools, and professionals

• Experience working with children or young people with Autism (ASC) (essential)
• Experience supporting SEN learners (ADHD, SEMH, Dyslexia)
• Background in education (Teacher, SEN Tutor, TA, HLTA, Mentor, Support Worker)
• Understanding of strategies such as visual timetables, structured teaching, or sensory approaches (desirable)
• Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and behaviour support skills
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
• Right to work in the UK
