School Administrator | Steyning | £23,000 - £26,000 per Annum | PermanentAbout the roleThis school is looking for a dynamic and detail-orientated School Administrator to join the school office. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.As the first point of contact for pupils, parents, and staff, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient front-of-house experience while supporting the day-to-day running of the school.What you will be doing:

• Greeting visitors and handling enquiries with warmth and professionalism.
• Managing incoming calls, emails, and correspondence.
• Maintaining accurate student records, attendance logs, and safeguarding documentation.
• Supporting senior leaders with diary management, reports, and meeting coordination.
• Assisting with internal and external communications, including newsletters and notices.
• Organising school events, trips, and parents' evenings.
• Handling basic financial tasks such as processing payments and managing petty cash.
• Ensuring compliance with data protection and safeguarding policies.

Person Specification

• Proven experience in administration (school setting preferred).
• Confident using IT systems (Microsoft Office, SIMS and Arbor).
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A calm, friendly, and professional manner.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Discretion and reliability when handling sensitive information.
