About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to join a growing and innovative organisation operating in a technical manufacturing environment.

This role combines day-to-day warehouse operations with team leadership responsibility. You'll lead from the front-ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately, while maintaining high standards of safety, organisation, and stock control.

Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations
  • Supervise daily warehouse activities, ensuring priorities are met accurately and on time
  • Allocate tasks across goods-in, picking, packing, and dispatch
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Ensure processes and stock control disciplines are consistently followed
Goods In / Receiving
  • Receive, unload, check, and book in deliveries
  • Verify documentation and report discrepancies
  • Ensure correct labelling and storage of stock
Picking, Packing & Dispatch
  • Pick work orders in line with operational priorities
  • Pack and dispatch orders to required service levels
  • Ensure packaging standards protect goods in transit
Stock Control
  • Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and checks
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Support full stock takes
  • Identify and implement improvements to reduce errors and losses
Quality & Inspection Support
  • Assist with incoming goods inspection processes
  • Manage quarantine and rejected goods procedures
  • Liaise with internal teams regarding non-conforming items
Health & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures
  • Promote safe working practices and manual handling
  • Report and follow up on incidents or near misses
Systems & Administration
  • Accurately record stock movements using warehouse/ERP systems
  • Maintain documentation for all warehouse processes
  • Support improvements in reporting and operational accuracy
About YouEssential Skills & Experience
  • Experience in a warehouse supervisory role (or a senior operative ready to step up)
  • Strong knowledge of goods-in, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory control
Desirable
  • Experience working with quality or inspection processes
  • Familiarity with warehouse improvement methods (e.g. 5S, layout optimisation)
  • Experience using manual handling equipment
