About the RoleWe are looking for a proactive and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to join a growing and innovative organisation operating in a technical manufacturing environment.
This role combines day-to-day warehouse operations with team leadership responsibility. You'll lead from the front-ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately, while maintaining high standards of safety, organisation, and stock control.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations- Supervise daily warehouse activities, ensuring priorities are met accurately and on time
- Allocate tasks across goods-in, picking, packing, and dispatch
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Ensure processes and stock control disciplines are consistently followed
Goods In / Receiving- Receive, unload, check, and book in deliveries
- Verify documentation and report discrepancies
- Ensure correct labelling and storage of stock
Picking, Packing & Dispatch- Pick work orders in line with operational priorities
- Pack and dispatch orders to required service levels
- Ensure packaging standards protect goods in transit
Stock Control- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and checks
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Support full stock takes
- Identify and implement improvements to reduce errors and losses
Quality & Inspection Support- Assist with incoming goods inspection processes
- Manage quarantine and rejected goods procedures
- Liaise with internal teams regarding non-conforming items
Health & Safety- Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures
- Promote safe working practices and manual handling
- Report and follow up on incidents or near misses
Systems & Administration- Accurately record stock movements using warehouse/ERP systems
- Maintain documentation for all warehouse processes
- Support improvements in reporting and operational accuracy
About YouEssential Skills & Experience- Experience in a warehouse supervisory role (or a senior operative ready to step up)
- Strong knowledge of goods-in, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory control
Desirable- Experience working with quality or inspection processes
- Familiarity with warehouse improvement methods (e.g. 5S, layout optimisation)
- Experience using manual handling equipment
