Management Accountant

FTC (9-12 Months)
Colchester (Hybrid: 2 days office / 3 days home)

We're working with a well-established organisation to recruit a Management Accountant on an initial 9-month maternity cover contract, with a strong possibility of extension to 12 months.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified or QBE accountant to join a supportive finance team and take ownership of monthly reporting while partnering with key stakeholders across the business.
 
Responsibilities

Produce monthly management accounts including accruals, prepayments, and journals
Deliver variance analysis and insightful commentary on performance
Support budgeting and forecasting cycles
Partner with operational teams to improve financial understanding
Complete balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with audit preparation and ad hoc financial reporting
Skills & qualifications

Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience
Strong Excel skills (essential - this role is data-heavy)
Confident communicator with the ability to work with non-finance stakeholders
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
