Senior Accountant

Modern Cloud-Based Firm | Milton Keynes | Up to £50,000 + Flexible Working

We’re working with a fast-growing boutique firm in Milton Keynes known for its dynamic, cloud-based approach and entrepreneurial spirit. With a focus on SME clients, innovation and automation are at the heart of everything they do - and they’re now looking for a Senior Accountant to join their collaborative team.

The Opportunity

This is a varied, client-facing role where you’ll manage your own portfolio, support junior staff and work closely with Partners on process improvements and business development.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing a diverse portfolio of clients including limited companies, sole traders and groups
• Preparing and reviewing management accounts and supporting working papers
• Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing constructive feedback
• Supporting junior team members with software queries and accounting treatments
• Liaising with clients to provide proactive support and advice
• Leading Xero migrations and training clients on cloud-based systems
• Advising clients on systems/process design and automation
• Assisting with business development and contributing to strategic planning

What We’re Looking For

• ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE, with 3+ years’ experience in practice
• Strong knowledge of Xero and cloud-based systems (Xero certification desirable)
• Comfortable reviewing junior work and providing guidance
• Energetic self-starter who enjoys client-facing work
• Commercially minded, with excellent organisational skills
• Confident, approachable, and happy to contribute to internal improvements
