Mon-Thu: 08:00-17:00
Fri: 08:00-16:00

Our client, a long-established and highly respected manufacturer, is looking for an experienced Injection Mould Tool Designer to strengthen their in-house toolroom team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled designer who enjoys working on complex, high-precision tooling for customers across the medical, automotive, switchgear, and packaging sectors.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will take ownership of designing injection mould tools ranging from single-impression units to multi-cavity hot runner systems, ensuring high quality and manufacturability throughout.

Key Responsibilities

Creating detailed injection mould tool designs (single to multi-cavity/hot runner)

*

Producing component designs and technical drawings

*

Supporting and leading design reviews

*

Delivering DFM documentation to support manufacturing

*

3D & 2D CAD design using Creo (Pro Engineer) and/or SolidWorks

*

Managing projects from initial concept through to final release

*

Working directly with customers to define specifications

*

Supporting machining strategy and toolroom processes

Ideal Candidate Profile

*

Strong background in injection mould design; toolmaking experience is a clear advantage

*

Confident in designing complex, high-precision mould tools

*

Knowledge of side cores, lifters, steel selection, polymers, hydraulics, and hot runners

*

Able to work to tight timescales while maintaining quality and safety standards

*

A clear communicator and a collaborative team player
