Senior Nursery Practitioner - W2, Bayswater

Full-time, Permanent

Term time only

Zest Education is proud to be supporting an excellent Nursery in the Bayswater area that caters for children aged 2–5. As the nursery continues to grow, we are looking to appoint a Senior Nursery Practitioner to join their team!

About the role:

  • To take responsibility for drawing up sessional curriculum plans for your group which include requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for guidance, and to monitor the effectiveness of the setting’s curriculum.
  • To contribute to and conduct the daily programme and planning of Nursery activities and events.
  • To be responsible for implementing systems of observation and record keeping for your key children so that their progress and achievements are effectively and regularly assessed.
  • To assist the Principal/Head Teacher and other staff members in implementing any recommendations made following regulatory inspections.
  • To contribute to and to implement all Nursery policies and procedures, e.g. register and signing out procedures, child protection, health and safety, confidentiality, food safety, setting hygiene etc.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum Level 3 Qualification; preferably EYT or EYP status
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working with young children
  • Someone who has displayed leadership/management skills in previous role
  • Someone who is looking to progress into a leadership role
  • Proven experience of working in a nursery/pre-school setting
  • Demonstrable and detailed knowledge of current legislation relevant to the early years
