Role: Assistant Finance Manager
Location: Brighton
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours, Monday-Friday, 9:00-17:30)

Minimum 30 hours/4 days considered

Pay: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (DOE)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Finance Manager to join one of our longstanding clients, a thriving and rapidly growing professional services firm based in Brighton.

The Requirements:

A recognised professional accountancy qualification
Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with strong financial acumen
Proficiency in IT systems with advanced Excel knowledge
Ability to quickly learn new software
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Comfortable driving and adapting to change, including leading on system improvements
Capable of working to tight deadlines and managing ad hoc project work
Clear and effective communication skills with internal teams and external stakeholders

The Role:

Support the Finance Manager and Head of Finance in day-to-day financial operations
Oversee core accounting activities, including managing outsourced payroll
Review and approve purchase invoices, payment runs, and supplier reconciliations
Lead the monthly reconciliation of control accounts across key financial areas
Assist with the delivery of monthly management information, including KPIs
Contribute to the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting
