We are working in partnership with a forward-thinking, specialist SEND school in Cambridge to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and highly skilled team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a purpose-built setting, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs and playing a key role in their development, independence and confidence.
About the Role:
- Supporting pupils aged 3–19 with a range of needs including ASD, SEMH, communication needs and complex learning difficulties
- Providing 1:1 and small group support, tailored to individual EHCPs
- Assisting with sensory regulation, behaviour support and structured learning activities
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and SENCOs to deliver a holistic approach to learning
- Creating a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where pupils can thrive
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care or support setting)
- Strong understanding of behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Someone who is genuinely passionate about supporting children with additional needs
- Team player with a proactive and flexible attitude
