About the Role

We are currently seeking an Advanced Operative to join our fast-paced food manufacturing site in Milton Keynes. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of food safety, product quality, and operational efficiency across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure food safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards are followed at all times.

Correctly store all line equipment (trolleys, table scales, knife pots, etc.) in designated areas.

Keep the wall storage cabinet clean, organised, and well-maintained.

Provide cover for the Team Leader when required.

Verify the correct programmes are present on all line equipment, including printer, thermoformer, converger, and metal detector.

Complete all traceability paperwork accurately and in full.

Carry out gas checks and metal detection tests at the required frequency.

Complete end-of-line startup check sheets and ensure documentation compliance.

Monitor product weights - ensure lightweight/overweight packs do not exceed right percentage.

Manage and deliver production changeovers efficiently and accurately.

Confirm end-to-end programme accuracy.

Safely operate the film lifter and manage base film changes as required.

About You

Previous experience in a food manufacturing or packaging environment preferred.

Strong understanding of food safety and quality procedures.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Reliable, flexible, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Confident communicator with good problem-solving skills.
