Salary: £11 - £11.30/hour

Initially this role is 3 months, however could go longer depending on production levels. As the Quality Control Technician you will be responsible for maintaining QC within a globally operating manufacturing company. This company is developing a range of ground-breaking products to strengthen their current product offering, with this position being pivotal in their release to market.

The successful Quality Control Technician will be joining a multi-billion-pound chemical manufacturer operating on a top-tier COMAH site. This company has consistently hit ambitious growth objectives, recently making a multi-million-pound investment on site with the addition of a new manufacturing plant. Ongoing investment into the site is a staple, with upcoming projects sanctioned.

Responsibilities of the Quality Control Technician;

Engaging in a personal and career development programme.
Providing plant manufacturing, packing operations and customers with a Quality Control and analysis service to satisfy process control, product, and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements.
Awareness of validation, calibration and experience with LIMS.
To accurately analyse, validate and record results for samples from the medical products operation to ensure that production processes and final product QC within the agreed specification limits.
Quality Control Technician will be required to review and validate the analysis of other colleagues in line with operating requirements.
Prioritise work to ensure that business production, sales and customer support plans are achieved.To be successful in this position as Quality Control Technician it would be preferable to have a background working within the chemical or process manufacturing sector. Ideally candidates will have an educational background supporting any industry experience, for example HNC in a scientific discipline (Chemistry/Pharma/Biology etc.), anyone with a HND or Degree (BSc or MSc etc) will be considered. Although hands on, practical QC experience will be considered.

Working as a Quality Control Technician alongside salary the successful applicant will also receive benefits if you are to successfully achieve a permanent position. Permanent positions are in the pipeline, but for the time being this will be an ongoing contract.
