This is an exciting opportunity to join my client, a well-established, proactive Multidisciplinary Consultancy, dedicated to broadening their geographical reach by establishing a brand new office location in stunning Scotland. Known for lending their expertise to a diverse range of projects across the landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering fields, they are on the lookout for a capable, passionate Senior Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design, who is willing to take on a variety of challenging projects. You will be working alongside a newly-established team of infrastructure design experts, based near the large, lively city of Glasgow.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

Contributing to the design of a range of engineering projects and developments
Overseeing the day-to-day running of projects, from inception through to successful delivery/implementation
Mentoring and supporting colleagues as they develop professionally
Liaising with clients and stakeholders across the public and private sectors
Preparing and checking technical documents, including reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, risk assessments, and method statements
Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice, upholding the appropriate health and safety standards at all times
Acting as a company representative at client meetings and site visits, etc.

Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

A UK Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil or Structural Engineering
Possess Chartered Status with a relevant, recognised professional body (e.g., ICE)
Experience of working in a design-based role, within a UK-based consultancy or Local Authority
Considerable experience of working on infrastructure (especially highways and drainage), housing developments, and energy engineering projects
Experience of earthworks and drainage network modelling
Proficient in the use of various software packages (including Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and others)
Considerable experience of writing and checking a variety of technical documents
Demonstrable experience of liaising with clients and stakeholders
Excellent organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

A Higher Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments
Experience of preparing Transport Assessments
Experience of leading projects/teams
Experience of working in a public-facing role
Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
