Year 2 SEN Teaching Assistant - Full-Time Role in Wythenshawe (September Start)

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a well-regarded, inclusive primary school in Wythenshawe to recruit a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant. This full-time role (8:30am - 3:30pm) is set to begin in September and involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.

The school is rated 'Good' by Ofsted and is committed to providing a broad and balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all learners. You'll be part of a supportive team working to ensure every child reaches their full potential in a nurturing environment.

Your Responsibilities:

Provide targeted support to pupils with SEN, both individually and in small groups
Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering personalised learning activities
Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Help create an inclusive, engaging, and safe classroom environment
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to support pupil development
Monitor and encourage progress, adapting support as needed
What We're Looking For:

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Previous experience working with children with SEN
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Level 2 Safeguarding certification (training can be provided if not yet obtained)
