Pastoral Mentor - (Full-Time) ASAP Start
Location: Ealing, West London
Salary: £500-£520 per week (dependent on experience and/or qualifications) — weekly PAYE pay

The Role

A specialist alternative provision in Ealing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Mentor to support young people aged 11-16 who are currently outside of mainstream education. Many of the pupils have experienced disrupted learning, social challenges, or involvement with external agencies, and require a high level of pastoral care to help them thrive.

This is a highly rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting the wellbeing and personal development of vulnerable young people. As a Pastoral Mentor, you will be a trusted adult, helping students build resilience, develop positive relationships, and re-engage with education in a safe and supportive environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

Building strong, supportive relationships to create a sense of trust and belonging

Providing pastoral support around emotional wellbeing, attendance, and safeguarding concerns

Encouraging positive decision-making and self-regulation strategies

Acting as a consistent role model, offering guidance and encouragement

Working closely with teaching staff, families, and external agencies to deliver holistic support plans

Promoting inclusion and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
