Wildwood Technical Recruitment is seeking a Quality & Technical Manager for a busy and growing food manufacturing site in Somerset. This is a hands-on role, suited to someone with a strong background in food quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage and maintain the site's Quality Management System

* Lead HACCP team and ensure food safety compliance

* Act as main point of contact for customer and third-party audits

* Investigate and resolve customer complaints with root cause analysis

* Support New and Existing Product Development (NPD/EPD)

* Organise micro and hygiene testing to validate shelf life and cleanliness

* Check packaging, labelling, and artwork for legal compliance

* Contribute to site efficiency by improving systems and reducing waste

Requirements:

* Experience in a similar quality/technical role within food manufacturing

* Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and audit standards

* Excellent communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach

* Able to work on-site daily and be actively involved in production quality
