About the Company:
Our client are a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the UK. Their portfolio includes highways, drainage, earthworks, utilities, and public realm schemes. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a proactive and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Warrington.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all commercial aspects of assigned civil engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare and submit interim valuations, final accounts, and cost reports.
- Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
- Assess and value subcontractor applications and variations.
- Identify, value, and negotiate change management and compensation events.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
- Liaise with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Support procurement and tendering processes.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within civil engineering.
- Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT forms of contract.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
Desirable:
- Membership of RICS or working towards chartership.
- Experience with infrastructure projects such as railway, highways, drainage, or utilities.
