Market 36 Recruitment are delighted to be supporting the local Council in recruiting an HGV 2 Driver based in Colchester. This role involves driving refuse collection vehicles and supporting waste collection services across the local area.
Hours of Work:
Monday to Thursday 07:00 – 15:00
Friday 07:00 – 14:30
Role Accountabilities:- Driving HGV 2 bin lorries (refuse collection vehicles) in line with scheduled routes
- Ensuring safe and responsible operation of the vehicle at all times
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Working alongside loaders to complete waste collection routes efficiently
- Adhering to all road traffic legislation and health & safety regulations
- Providing a professional and courteous service to members of the public
- Assisting with loading duties where required
The Experience You Will Bring:- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience driving large vehicles, ideally refuse collection vehicles
- Good knowledge of road safety and driving regulations
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and safety conscious
- Good communication skills
