Are you a resilient, positive, and encouraging professional with a passion for supporting young people with complex Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a dedicated Mentor to work one-on-one with a 16-year-old in Fair Oak who is eager to grow in confidence, gain independence, and explore new interests.
As a Tutor you will:
- Developing practical life skills, including cooking (starting with making a jam sandwich!)
- Building confidence through gentle encouragement and structured activities
- Exploring hobbies such as bird watching and enjoying long nature walks
- Promoting independence in everyday tasks
About you:

- Specialist education settings
- Youth advocacy or mentoring
- Children's support work
- Social care or therapeutic environments
You'll be:

- Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools- ESSENTIAL
- Experience within a relevant field
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
