Teaching Personnel are seeking a hard working, empathetic, resilient and compassionate Behaviour Mentor for a role in a Blackburn based SEN School. The School caters for pupils with additional needs including; Autism, ADHD, SEMH Difficulties, Learning Difficulties and challenging behaviours. The School in question is smaller than average and caters exclusively for pupils who can no longer remain in mainstream education!
The role is full time, school hours are 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday and candidates must be willing to work on a small group or even 1:1 basis with pupils who can be challenging in their behaviours. The role would suit a candidate who comes from an education, military, care or youth work background - but you must have experience supporting children who can be challenging in their behaviours.
The candidate must be confident in their behaviour management skills and ideally have undertaken relevant training such as Team Teach or Positive Behaviour Management.
